Iceland

I remember feeling the elation of finally arriving in a place I’d only dreamed of visiting. I travel all the time, but I usually show up to a place knowing nothing about it. This time was different.
Iceland sat top of my list for years. I landed with my map full of pins marking places I wanted to go. Often times we build expectations in our head and end up let down. Iceland was not that. The unique landscapes only Iceland offers are otherworldly (even in the cold, grey rain.) Within one day we explored geothermal fields, witnessed the edge of two tectonic plates, and were awestruck by grand waterfalls.
